A graduate from the College of Visual Arts, Kolkata, Ramprasad
De drew inspiration from mankind and 'man' became his favorite subject in his
work. Spontaneous human gestures and activities find expression through
talking, walking and other body movements. The forms in hi paintings are also
attired in a particular manner, reflective of the symbolism in nature in and
around them. This attire is dominated time and agian by the symbolic use of the
sun, which is the main source of energy.
