Ramesh Pachpande

Ramesh Pachpande was born on 24th September 1954 in Jalgaon. He studied painting at the Sir J.J.School of art (Diploma in Art Education - 978). He displayed artistic talent at an early age, which led him to enter art school. Always focusing on the human form, Pachpande had first worked with Oil and canvas paintings in a realistic style, concentrating on charcoal Rajasthani themes, experimenting with different styles, he found complete fulfillment and satisfaction when he moved to the charcoal medium in which he displays a rare excellence. Today, Ramesh Pachpande has developed a unique style of his own in charcoal on paper which highlights facial expressions and brigs to the fore the sublime beauty of the human form. His paintings reflect his rural roots.
