Patrick Rousseau
Partick's aspiration is to transform scenes of everyday life
into tranquil landscapes where the serenity of the situations and characters is
palpable at first glance. He prefers pastels because they provide lots of light
and a certain tranquility at work. In fact the aim of his approach is to offer
the viewer through images, a moment of escape. The artist was born in
Angouleme, France in 1961. The summers of his childhood in Royan and walking on
the vast beaches, skies and sea imbued his imagination and his paintings.
Completely self-taught, he has exhibited in galleries along the Atlantic coast
in France.
