He graduated in fine arts from Govt. College of Art &Craft,
Kolkata. Throughout a considerable part of his creative life he has been keenly
involved with various aspects of theatre. Being a socially conscious artist,
temporal reality in its tragic consciousness often tinged with humour is the
essence of his creativity.
