Elizabeth Germain
The painting of Elizabeth recreates each day's precious moments
of life. It recreates for us the scenes of life captured on the spot: Players
alley, the corner pub and its regulars, the jazz band. She delivers her
watercolors in the popular feeling of platitudes and people's gestures,
attitudes, smiles. Her painting comes alive, with warm emotional colors and the
representation imposes itself with linework that gives strength and energy to
her subjects. First a textile designer for Lyon silk, Elizabeth now devotes
herself entirely to painting. She works in her studio north of Lyon in France
and has exhibited since 2001.
