Christophe Maroquesne
The painting of Christopher offers a journey in a symbolic world
that combines the artist's colorful Slavic origins with his taste for the
Mediterranean sun. The themes (landscapes, music, characters ...) are available
on an acrylic base which is affixed with gold leaf, collage (tissue paper, text
...), stone powder, pigments ... All organized in successive planes like stage
sets. In a different vein, he also works on the theme of the bull: a reason for
the use of techniques and varied writings. Christophe studied at the Beaux-Arts
de Caen et d'Orleans. Today, he lives and works in Lyon. Since 1997, he has
exhibited in solo and group exhibitions.
