Cécile Perra
Small sentences, mistreated distorted words, stories as
sensitive as incredible, Cecilia likes to suggest in her work snippets of
stories that have set foot on earth, hoping that the viewer can get away a step
towards the imaginary. After graduating from fifth grade (DNSEP) at the College
of Arts in Aix-en-Provence, Cecile hosted for two years, a visual arts workshop
for mentally handicapped adults. This proved to be better than a second School,
and her interaction with disabled but with a rich artistic and extraordinary
talented persons, revealed how the simplicity and spontaneity in the act of
creating was paramount. She seeks to approach her support in more direct forms,
however the shapes purify themselves, the treatment becomes sometimes coarse
and clumsy but the transmitted emotion is more straightforward, more sensitive.
