Patrick Lalande
Patrick uses the technique of chiaroscuro and glazes. He draws his
inspiration from the works of Flemish masters and "ruinistes" of the
eighteenth century. Landscapes where mineral matter gives a depth
and brightness to give the picture a three-dimensionality in his
paintings. Born in Toulon in 1959, his attraction for painting led him to
follow the course of Fine Arts. He trained as a photographer at the
"Chamber of Trades," and participated in various publications in
journals of photographs. After encounters with painters Eugene
Baboulène and Michel Bron, he started a new path, that of painting.
Since 1981, he has exhibited in France and abroad.
